Durability Engineers is always seeking entrepreneurial, driven, and solutions-focused Concrete Materials/Structural Engineers to join our team.

 

If you are a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE or SE) with deep expertise in concrete materials, structural evaluation, and forensic engineering—and you thrive in a fast-moving environment—we want to hear from you.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the evaluation, design, or rehabilitation of concrete structures, materials characterization, or nondestructive evaluation.

  • Strong technical expertise with an eagerness to work outside of traditional silos.

  • Ability to manage projects, interface directly with clients, and drive technical execution from concept to delivery.

  • Commitment to building your technical reputation through active engagement in professional organizations, conferences, and technical publications.

  • Hands-on, practical problem-solving mindset, not just theoretical knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

  • PE or SE license (or ability to obtain reciprocity).

  • MS or PhD preferred in Civil, Structural, or Materials Engineering.

  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel and get hands-on in the field.

LOCATION

Grand Rapids, Michigan, is preferred, but we are flexible for the right entrepreneurial candidate.
